WHAT IS SOMATIC DANCE?
Somatic Dance is a guided free form movement journey into layers of the body supported by a carefully curated soundscape. It invites people to connect with themselves and to others through music. There is no choreography however we do ask that the below guidelines are followed:
No talking. Somatic Dance is a silent practice. You are welcome to communicate with others through body language and sound. But please keep words outside the space.
No shoes. Barefoot dancing helps us ground ourselves by creating contact between the feet and the earth.
No drugs or alcohol. Somatic Dance is a conscious practice embracing mindfulness.
Phone free zone. Encouraging safety and presence. Be here now.
Stay dressed. Tops on for all genders.
